A learner centered approach to education.

Welcome to Marigold Community Learning, an International School in Bali.

Our vision is to inspire and empower young learners to create a healthy and harmonious environment within and around themselves.

Learning Methodology

We promote skills-based growth through exploration, self-discovery, and interdisciplinary projects. We believe that play is the highest form of research, and our teachers act as companions as children discover their interests and are encouraged to collaborate with classmates to take an idea from inception to creation. We provide children with the opportunity to create, think critically, make decisions, and work through disagreements, in a supportive, relationship-driven environment.

Our unique learner centered approach nurtures children to have a voice, actively participate, contribute ideas, and share new perspectives. We understand children’s needs and ensure they are being supported fully and given the tools for success.

Learner Centred

A student’s foundation for learning encompasses their heads (academic), hands (experiental), and heart (social-emotional). Our learning program emphasizes whole child approaches and supportive environment for children to safely express themswelves.

Holistic

Marigold incorporates prject based learning permitting children to deeply explore a driving question. Incorporating math, literacy, art, and other subjects enables children to learn to think critically, solve problems, and make real world connections.

Project Based

Marigold Families have unique qualities that help our community thrive.

What Marigold Families Say...

  • "Our 6-year-old daughter spent two fantastic years at Marigold and we can’t speak more highly of the school. They have curated and invested in a truly enriching environment for learning, growing, play and community. We were particularly impressed with how the children learn to resolve their conflicts through a social-emotional learning approach. Beyond this, the school community as a whole is great, including the other parents!"

  • "Being a sensitive kid, our 7-year old daughter initially struggled with the transition to life and school in Bali. We experienced daily complaints that she missed her friends and wanted to go back to Australia. The Marigold staff went the extra mile to make sure she felt supported and that her concerns were being heard. We're happy to say she's now thriving—she skips into school each morning and we struggle to extract her at pickup! We're really excited to be part of the Marigold community and I'm truly grateful to have found such a special place to nurture our kids."

  • "My two kids attended Marigold for one year. They absolutely loved it. The staff is amazing! My kids came to Marigold without speaking English. The teachers went above and beyond to make them feel at home. They really helped them with their English skills. Still after one year since we left they still talk about their favourite Ibu's."

  • “Our family are huge fans of Marigold and the community of learning and growing they have created. The teachers and staff at Marigold all have one goal in mind, the overall well-being of the children. We love that in the pursuit of the child’s academic learning, their social and emotional growth is just as highly valued. We feel so grateful that our children have had the chance to learn and grow in such a warm, playful, encouraging environment. To us Marigold is not just a school, but a community of like minded people working together to curate a beautiful growing and learning experience for all.”
